The sake of the Human Race:
We are driven globally to consume more resource, which is having a dangerous effect on the countryside:
Populations are exploding in growth, especially in the sub-Saharan areas of the planet, where the population of the area will grow by 1 Billion people over the next 25 years.
Fresh water is becoming more scarce resource in different regions of the planet.
Weather patterns are making growing crops more risky, with drought, flooding and storms damaging crop growth and seasonal cycles.
Changes in land use – housing, tree planting and rewilding projects are taking land out of food production.
Industrialised farming damaging the soils, causing water and nutrient run off.
How will Agriculture cope in 50 years time to meet the growing demand for food….will there be food shortages and or significant price increases?
How will Agriculture be able to farm sustainably to look after the environment?
We are in a critical time for the future of the human race, now is the time to get food production right for the sake of the generations to come.
